Director of Outreach

Born and raised in Colorado, Connie grew up in Open Door Fellowship.  Her family joined the church when she was six.   Connie graduated from Brighton High School.

After completing her Bible College and Seminary training, Connie served as a missionary in Caracas Venezuela for 7 years.   After leaving Venezuela, Connie served as the Children’s Ministries Pastor at a large Baptist church in Ogden Utah.   She  came home to Open Door Fellowship in January of 2006.

Connie enjoys life.  An avid reader and crafter, Connie’s other interests include walking, bowling and spending time with her family and friends.   She’s always up for good card game.

Connie’s favorite saying is “In light of eternity… this just doesn’t matter.”

Childhood Ambition:   To be a teacher and a missionary.

Favorite TV show:  The Dick Van Dyke Show

Music Style:   I’m a child of the 70’s.   I like to listen to soft rock.  I also like country and western music.

When did you become a believer?  In 1965. I was six.

Favorite movie:   I love so many movies, but if I had to choose one it would probably be White Christmas.   I watch it at least once every year.

First Job:  When I was in high school I worked as a car hop at the A&W in Commerce City.

Most Unlikely Job:   I worked as a truancy officer right after I graduated from Bible College.

My Hero:  So many people have had a significant impact on my life, but I think my hero is my Dad.

Wildest Dream:  Before I die I would like to go for a hot air balloon ride and go skydiving.

Life Bible Verse:   Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing; that He who began a good work in you will continue to perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Most memorable moment as a child:  When I was in 1st grade I was reading my school records on the way to the school nurse to have my eyes checked.   I was horrified to find out that I got an “F” in sex!  I was even more confused when my mom told me they put “F” for girl and “M” for boy.

How do you want people to remember you?   I hope when people think of me they remember that I loved them and was a good friend to them, but mostly I hope they remember how much I love Jesus and how much He loves them.
